Don’t fight change but rather embrace it.

Many people feel that their lives are filled more with burdens and suffering than with blessings and that is quite sad. I know that my life has many challenges and in fact there have been times when I have felt bewildered and let down by God because things were not going my way. Oh yes, I, too, am human. I have those feelings from time to time, yet in my heart, I know that God is simply trying to get my attention and change my course of direction. The truth is, we tend to get stuck in our old comfortable ways and when a jolt or course correction occurs, we get upset and distressed.

climberThere is only one thing certain in life and that is ‘Change’. Change often comes when we least expect it. It can take us by surprise and it certainly can put a crimp in our style of living. Sometime it is only through reflection that we can see and begin to understand that the change we experienced actually is for our highest and best good. God has a far grander vision for us than we can even begin to imagine and His wish is for us to succeed and enjoy the life that we are seeking. I am here to tell you that quite possibly what you are experiencing today is the precursor to something miraculous. That is why I suggest that you do not fight the change but count it as a blessing that has been placed directly in your path.

When you change your perception and attitude you actually change your life. Change can only come to you when you willingly welcome it into your life. Too often we tend to fight it or reject it but today, I am encouraging you to let go of your past beliefs. Let go of your preconceived ideas and Let God take over and direct your outcome. When you are able to do that, that is when your life will begin to take shape in a better and more fulfilling way.

Since last November, Mom and I were faced with being told by our Landlord that we needed to vacate his property because he wanted to move back in. At first we were in denial, we were traveling to different parts of the country so our focus was on our work and not our dilemma of finding a place to live. Then the day of reckoning came and we still had no place to live. We placed all of our belongings in storage and started on an adventure of moving monthly till now. The area in which we live in Florida is highly sought after by the snow birds, those people who go to warmer climates for the winter and this winter proved to be one of the worst which meant that there were literally no available rooms in the Inn. You may think that I am making this up but believe me when I say-It has been an adventure. Mom and I could have gone into anger, resentment and worry and fear but instead we chose to look deep within and take one day at a time. It has been quite a refreshing journey into the unknown.

Everyone we spoke to simply scratched their heads and wondering about our outcome and how we were going to survive. In truth, we not only survived but we actually have come out stronger and God is continuing to show us the way. Doors are opening that were prior to this time closed. Opportunities are flowing towards us and the outlook is most exciting and exhilarating. We have just found a lovely home to buy and it is in the Community that prior to this time we had only dreamt of living in, so, Dear Friends, I want you to know that when you surrender to the will of God, God rewards you big time. Don’t fight the journey but rather count your blessings each step of the way and you too will have a fabulous story to share with the world.
